Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a small citrus tree native to southern Italy. It has glossy green leaves, fragrant white flowers, and round yellow-green fruits that resemble small oranges. Thriving in warm, sunny climates, bergamot is prized for its aromatic peel, which produces its highly valued essential oil.
The aroma is citrusy yet fruity and sweet, with a warm, spicy-floral quality reminiscent of Neroli. It provides a middle note of medium strength, offering a bright and uplifting presence in blends.
